What happens when a mobile device is lost?
A component of the Nuemera Centralised Information System is the National Equipment Identity Register (NEIR). This is a comprehensive database of all mobile numbers and devices within the country. All mobile network operators periodically link to our system to obtain updates of blocked or unblocked numbers. This ensures that when a mobile device has been reported stolen, the details are blocked across all mobile networks.
This entire process is reversible. When a device is returned to its owner, the same process can be used to unblock a device.
Today, Nuemera's system is successfully used to protect millions of people.
